Costa Rican Adventure

Experience the “Pura Vida” of Costa Rica -- the art, music, food, people, and adventurous outdoors of a country like no other. Drawing on the influences of both North and South America and the Caribbean, Costa Rica is a world unto itself. As a traveler, you’ll have a chance to practice your Spanish language skills and immerse yourself in an amazing culture—all while building life-long friendships and soaking in the beautiful terrain.

Day 1

After a few relatively short flights, check into the classy El Presidente Hotel in the capital city of San Jose. Stretch your legs on a tour of the regal National Theatre. Enjoy a welcome dinner at our favorite spot in downtown.

Day 2

Stroll through downtown San Jose before leaving city life behind. Dive into La Fortuna with none other than a chocolate & coffee tour. Then, enjoy dinner at our hot springs resort and head down the water slide a few—or a hundred—times!

Day 3

Hike the beautiful Río Fortuna Waterfall. Try your hand at a cooking class, learning how to make delicious Costa Rican dishes. Bask in your victory in the relaxing hot springs, heated by the lava beneath La Fortuna.

Day 4

White water raft down a thrilling river! Then, travel by land, water, and land again to get to the oh-so-verdant Monteverde. Get settled in your room before enjoying dinner in the quaint mountain town.

Day 5

Get zippin’ today! Straddle the continental divide as you “fly” through the clouds on several ziplines. After a relaxing afternoon at the resort, head out on a night hike to discover the more hidden—and nocturnal—gems of the forest.

Day 6

Head out on a grand adventure—one that will take you over, besides, and through rushing water as you hike down into an epic valley; don’t worry, you will climb up and out by horseback and be rewarded with a delicious lunch! Say goodbye to Monteverde as you travel to the Pacific coast for the final leg of your adventure.

Day 7

Soak up the “pura vida” with a day of boogie boarding, paddle boarding, or sunbathing. This day is all about the warm ocean the pristine beaches! Find your happy place on the sand!

Day 8

Take a morning tour through the Manuel Antonio National Park. See sloths, monkeys, and other amazing wildlife before jumping into the warm Pacific Ocean at a pristine beach. Dress up for a night out as we savor the farewell meal and a time of reflection.

Day 9

Say “nos vemos” to Costa Rica as you are transported back to San José for your flight home.
